I'm assuming that you copies of the data originally came from this site: If so, I'd like to ask that you update the

Note that in distributed the data I requested: "In using this dataset, please be sensitive to the privacy of the people involved (and remember that many of these people were certainly not involved in any of the actions which precipitated the investigation.)" Making the data publically indexable is not consistent with at least the spirit of this request, and I've had a specific request to remove some emails, especially the one below:

http://www.enron-mail.com/email/richey-c/sent_items/RE__2673.html

If you can re-build your index, or locally make the modifications suggested by http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~enron/DELETIONS.txt I would appreciate it. When you do so, please send a confirmation to wcohen@cs.cmu.edu and Shauna.Javens@paramountres.com.

Thanks so much for your help - WilliamWilliam Cohenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01137759014585021440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1117717936174889592.post-55945256027465300242015-03-28T18:36:49.643-07:002015-03-28T18:36:49.643-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13509127283826541611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1117717936174889592.post-32178296269100284702014-07-13T21:27:12.005-07:002014-07-13T21:27:12.005-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13509127283826541611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1117717936174889592.post-70222976809895603442014-01-25T08:48:26.850-08:002014-01-25T08:48:26.850-08:00Please reply and tell me how I can get in touch wi...Please reply and tell me how I can get in touch with you to request removal of a single, personal email from enron-mail.com. Does the early period in the corpus indicate the start of use of an electronic email system by Enron, and hence shows gradual growth as people started using it? Or, was email selectively extracted in the early period, based on relevance to the investigation, from a fully engaged email system?
